On the other hand, there’s a research work actually in process about immigration of children and teenagers in the border between Mexico and the US. These studies are part of the project Documentary Our Migrant Children which tells the story of Oscar and Martín. Oscar Escalada is a man who circumstantially had in his own home around 200 kids until he could finally open the first House for Migrant Children as part of the YMCA in Tijuana. Martín was one of these kids that, when trying to cross the border during the late 80’s, was shot by an FBI agent leaving him paraplegic.
